If you are in London and want to see and handle a Chris Clemes split cane fly rod before commissioning one, you can find our rods at Farlows at 9 Pall Mall, St James's.

Farlows is one of the oldest and most respected fly fishing retailers in the world. They have been outfitting anglers from their St James's premises since 1840 and the standard of their stock has always reflected that heritage. Having our rods in their care is something we take considerable pride in.

Farlows typically holds a selection of our split cane fly rods, along with Phoenix silk lines. Their staff fish themselves and can give an informed opinion on action and application. If you are considering a commission and want to cast something before committing, this is the place to start.

The shop is a short walk from Green Park and St James's Park stations. Pall Mall itself is worth the trip — the whole area around St James's retains the kind of quiet, unhurried atmosphere that suits the purchase of a handmade fly rod rather well.

If you cannot make it to Pall Mall, you can commission directly via our Contact page. We are based in Burgess Hill, West Sussex, and are happy to arrange a visit to the workshop. Commission lead time is currently around three months.

Every commission for a 7', 7'6" or 8' rod includes a free handmade leather rod tube and a personalised inscription, hand finished in England.
